Wing Mirrors
Kia Niro 4...my wing mirrors, nicely set up, dip when I select reverse. I guess someone thought this would be a smart idea but I find it annoying as the lovely clear view I had is instantly changed to a view of the ground! Perhaps if I simply wanted to monitor the kerb during a reverse turn around a corner it may have it's place but for normal reversing I really can't see a purpose. Can this (for me, unhelpful) function be de-selected? I can't find anything in the owners manual.
I didn't know this feature existed. It may be something to do with the seat memory if the 4 has that.
To stop it try to leave the mirror adjuster in the middle position rather than left or right, that may deactivate it if it is only 1 that drops. Failing that, if you select reverse, bring the mirrors back to where you want them & then confirm that as the memory position for the seat. Perhaps the setting is within the trip computer settings
Those things have worked on previous cars I've had so afraid I am only clutching at straws.

Niro 3 PHEV Graphite
It only does that if the mirror selector switch is right or left, in the middle the mirrors do not dip.
Whilst I occasionally would need this useful feature, I find it so annoying in normal use that I always have it switched off, and then forget about it when I do need it!
