Hybrid Niro all ages plus PHEV, must have oil in the differential Casing between front wheels.
Does this oil need changing during its life?
Dealer says no but has anyone had this done or can comment. Naturally gears wear and produce metal filings which are best removed over time!

DCTF gear oil, as used in the Niro, is 100% synthetic and doesn't deteriorate.
Carbon steel alloy gear wheels are case hardened and hardly wear at all.
The hypoid shape is designed for quietness and to build up a micro-pressure environment where the gears mesh.
There won't be any visible 'filings', any steel in the oil would probably be individual molecules.
