Hello

Hi All,

Have got the phev Niro and I’m very happy with it so far.
It is a March 2018 registration and I’ve just done 600 miles in two days to Torquay and back.
While down south I noticed that the Sat Nav was out of date for roads between Torquay and Newton Abbott so I called Kia today to find out about map updates.

They said there was an update due in March but they have only just got the update in the last couple of weeks. They checked for any recalls and it appears I require new rear suspension arms and possibly new alloy wheels. I also see that some cars have been checked for clutch actuator fluid leaks that could cause a fire, they didn’t mention that for my car but will definitely ask about it when it goes in on the 23rd for a couple of days

They said they would only charge me £15 instead of £25 for the update, think that will be up for discussion on collection.

Cheers Brianf

Hello Brianf.
Welcome, good to have on board, with phev.
You have mentioned all the current recall items, which you are aware do not effect every version. Your phev is the only version, so far, effected by the rear suspension/ wheels query.
The possible leak in clutch actuator, seems to be a little more widespread, but effects very few cars, precautionary check only . The door handle issue is so far harder to trace which cars are likely to be effected and may be a 'batch' problem only! . Glad you are enjoying the car.
Will be good to hear if you prefer the updated sat nav over android auto/ waze!?
